Nah, he won't scrap the project. We'd ALL have to track him down
and well, it wouldn't be pretty... Besides, after all the hooting and
work we've put into this thing as well as the work he has put into this
project, I'm sure Mr. Giark will "stick it out".

Are you kidding? They will ALL be playable enough to include in the
final game!! I don't know for sure, but judging from what I've
come to know of these guys in the time I've been on this list, I'd
almost be willing to bet that they are all simply busy with other
things and/or do NOT want to send a new demo until they have
something that will really "knock your socks off". That's the problem
with developing like this. You put something up there and people
give you feedback, then you have to work in as many of the
suggestions as possible while also trying to out-do your last demo,
so instead of the development becoming easier, it actually becomes
harder and harder with each new demo!!

When all the demos from this next update-wave have arrived, I think
CBATNAM will be looking VERY good indeed.
If you are interested in checking out the demos currently available,
just e-mail Giark and he'll sort you out.
--------<WHERE ARE THOSE UTILITIES?>--------
Okay, I posted a message a few days back saying I would archive
my utilities and submit them to Giark. I haven't forgotten, it's just
that I am currently working on a new utility. One that is LONG
overdue in my opinion.
Say what you like about BLITZ, but there is a really nice development
tool called ShapesManager, which was given away free on a
magazine cover-disk last year.
The SM contains a feature called "Auto-Grab" which allows you to
load an IFF and the SM will automatically "scan" it and grab all
of the images into a Shapes File (The Blitz equivalent of the AMOS
Bobs/Icons bank). I use the SM constantly in my BLITZ
development just for this auto-grabbing feature!!
I'm fed-up with that AMOS IFFgrabber, so am making my own
AutoImageGrabber utility for AMOS.
I've just started the design today and after two failed attempts on
paper, I think I have the process sorted out (It's a bit tricker than it
first appears). Anyway, if all goes to plan, I will code the AIG
tomorrow and submit everything tomorrow tonight...
This will be a TREMENDOUS aid in AMOS-development. It is SO
much easier and FASTER than manually grabbing each image,
one-by-one!! In fact, I really can't believe I waited this long to
create such a utility!!!!
Take care,
GARFIELD
